Stringent emissions norms for SOx in power and industrial boilers have been promulgated by Government of India vide Gazette dated 7th December 2015. With new pollution control norms of MoEF – Compliance is mandatory!!!. Process and operating parameters of each boiler are different and it depends on type of fuel and type of boiler. Accordingly inlet concentration of SOx varies. Different technologies such as dry, wet and semi dry systems can be used to control SOx emissions.
